Shine Promotes MasterChef Steward Paula Warwick To Head Of Intl Productions

LONDON, FEBRUARY 27 2012: Shine Network, the Shine Group division responsible for the international development, acceleration and editorial stewardship of formats that include MasterChef, The Biggest Loser, One Born Every Minute, Got To Dance and The Magicians, has promoted Paula Warwick to Head of International Productions, it was announced today. Warwick is currently Creative Director at Shine Network. Her promotion, which takes place with immediate effect, will see her continue to work with all of the Shine Group companies and international production partners, producing formats for different markets and acting as a consultant executive producer on formats licensed to third-party producers. Warwicks promotion reflects the significant growth of the team she now manages and the additional responsibility involved. It also recognises the fact that under her stewardship, group format MasterChef has grown its local production around the world from 2 territories on her arrival in 2009 to a total of 34 in 2012. To date, MasterChef has been produced and aired in 26 territories, with 8 additional territories either signed off or in production. Territories it has been produced and aired in include UK, Australia, USA, France, Germany, New Zealand, Hungary, Norway, Belgium, Netherlands, Greece, Israel, India, Sweden, Finland, Turkey, Croatia, Indonesia, Portugal, Peru, Ukraine, The Philippines, Ireland, Italy, Denmark and Malaysia. Highlights of the format during Warwicks tenure have included the 2011 series finale of MasterChef being the most watched show ever in Israel, delivering 1.4 million viewers and a market share of 59% and MasterChef USA becoming the highest rating network premiere in summer 2010. Ratings for MasterChef (USA) were also up series-on-series, with the final episode achieving an audience of 7.1 million viewers.
